About Grove Park Hospital

As waiting times to access mental health services for crucial help, like getting an assessment or finding the right treatment, continue to lengthen in the UK, Grove Park has established a service that will significantly improve access to expert mental healthcare professionals and individually tailored treatment in Brighton and the South West.

Led by a skilled and successful team with decades of experience in front line mental health, Dr Mihaela Bucur (Medical Director) and Darsana (Operational Director) are unreserved in Grove Park’s ambition to deliver immediate access to the right care, the right treatment, by the right people and in the right place.

With the most recent Centre for Mental Health study estimating that up to 10 million people, including 1.5 million children, will become likely to “need new or additional mental health support” as a direct result of the pandemic, there has never been a greater time of need for the additional, fast and expert care now available at Grove Park Healthcare. Situated at the Linkway, in BN1, the Hospital is easily accessible via all means of transport.

Mental health difficulties are on the rise, and whether you or a loved one has a long-standing problem, or you’ve been affected recently by the COVID crisis, cost of living or wide array of challenges facing our world, Grove Park and their team of expert healthcare professionals are here to help.

What Is It Like To Stay at Grove Park

When arriving are Grove Park, it is our primary aim to make all patients feel safe and welcomed. The team will focus on your well-being and process all necessary administrative requirements. You will then be checked-in by the clinical team which includes trained nurses and the ward doctor.

All meals will be provided for patients in our Inpatient facility. Your dietary requirements will be accommodated. Meal times are three times a day; breakfast, lunch and dinner served as appropriate to patients’ needs in-room or in communal dining areas.

As well as participating in any treatment programmes, we provide a safe and homely environment. Your family and friends are welcome to visit you, but we do ask that they avoid group and meal times.

Patient Treatment

Your consultant will continually monitor your progress and keep you informed of any changes to your care plan or medication. Any required changes will be implemented as quickly and smoothly as possible.

Based on clinical judgement, your Consultant will decide with you when it is appropriate for you to be discharged from inpatient care. An individually tailored after-care programme will be planned with your input, this may mean attending the Clinic as a day or outpatient. If your treatment is being funded by a health insurance policy, it is unlikely that they will allow you to self-refer. Most insurance policies require a GP referral in order to cover the cost of treatment.
